A three-bottle journey through South Australia’s South East. This mixed 3-pack brings together single-origin barley from Culburra, Mundulla and Pine Hill – three farms, three soils, three distinct Fine Ales.
SOIL
A South East trilogy of black loam over limestone, brown loam over low-sodium clay, and siliceous sand over clay – three distinct soil profiles shaping barley in subtly different ways.
FINISH
From Culburra’s dusty wheat, lemon peel and gentle aniseed, through Mundulla’s savoury sesame, celery and honeyed spice, to Pine Hill’s white pepper, vanilla, sunflower seed and ginger, the three Origin Ales share a softly bready, basil-tinged, citrus-lifted line and a long, clean, moreish finish.

Fine Ale sits somewhere between the world of great wine and great beer, structured, age-worthy and built for the table rather than the couch. Each Malt Donkey release is brewed from single-origin barley, grown on a specific South Australian farm, then fermented and matured with the same patience you’d expect from a serious cellar wine.
Shipping
This Fine Ale iwill ship in late 2025. By purchasing now, you’re reserving bottles from a limited production run that is brewed, matured and bottled to a Fine Ale standard rather than a fast-turnover beer schedule.
All orders containing this release will be dispatched once the ales are ready to leave the cellar in late 2025.

UNCLIP.
Press your thumb firmly over the cork and slide the clip remover between the clip and bottle neck to release it.

POP.
Keep a steady grip on the cork and twist the bottle until it pops free. Expect a pop.

POUR.
Pour your fine ale into a stemmed glassware full the full sensory experience.
