The first ORVYN uses a secret yeast, fermented at our own dedicated facility built specifically to contain it. Pine Hill barley, medium amber, with a nose of rye bread, spiced cocoa and lemon zest. The palate is soft and creamy with chocolate dust, earth and cloves, finishing long and clean.
SOIL
Pine Hill vintage was defined by generous early rainfall and late-season stress — a natural proving ground that separated exceptional malting lines from ordinary ones. The grains that thrived here carry concentrated flavour precursors and the protein-starch balance to express Pine Hill's distinctive black clay minerality in the glass.
FINISH
Medium amber with rye bread, spiced cocoa and lemon zest on the nose leading into a soft creamy palate of chocolate dust, earth and cloves with a long clean finish.
Information
Fine Ale sits somewhere between the world of great wine and great beer, structured, age-worthy and built for the table rather than the couch. Each Malt Donkey release is brewed from single-origin barley, grown on a specific South Australian farm, then fermented and matured with the same patience you’d expect from a serious cellar wine.
Shipping
All orders containing this release will be dispatched once the ales are ready to leave the cellar within a week of your order.
